Elderly Manchester resident missing
Have you seen Lascelles Wright? The family of the 65-year-old man has been seeking to locate him since he seemingly wandered from his home in Richmond, Manchester, on April 24,
Jerome Wright, son of the missing senior, said that he last saw his father about 7:00 that evening. He said that he left him at home, and when he returned about 10 p.m. he noticed that the front door was closed.
“My father lives alone but I had visited him to prepare him for a doctor’s appointment. I had given him some medication so I thought he felt drowsy and went to bed, because when I came back I saw the place locked,” said the younger Wright.
He told THE STAR that he spent the night in his car as he did not want to disturb his father’s sleep.
“It wasn’t until the following morning that I realised that he wasn’t home and I alerted the neighbours, but no one had seen him,” he said.
Jerome said his father was reportedly seen wandering in bushes of a neighbouring community, Chudleigh, by a resident on Monday, April 25. He was wearing a white shirt and a pair of jeans pants.
He said he reported the matter to the Christiana police on April 26, and that persons have been carrying out numerous searches in the area but have been unable to locate the elderly man.
“There was no sign of him so I am hoping that this platform will help just in case he has wandered out of the parish. This is the first time that my dad has gone missing, but there are times when he would have episodes of hallucinations. I really miss him and is really worried about him, so I am seeking assistance from the public,” he said.
A $30,000 reward is also being offered for the whereabouts of the senior citizen.
Anyone with information is being asked to call or text (876) 470-9134 or the Christiana police at (876) 964 2250.
