King Set gets the ‘Green Light’

-

Up- and- coming reggae artiste King Set achieved a milestone on his ‘earthstrong’ on April 15, when he released his debut single titled Green Light.

“My new single Green Light is about love, unity and harmony with black and white. I was inspired by the riddim as I see reggae is falling. I wanted to revitalise that old riddim which was made popular by Gregory Isaacs. It is an homage to him, we share the same first name,” explained King Set, whose given name is Gregory Merchant. Green Light is produced by Metrodon Productions.

The artiste, who hails from Conners district in St Catherine, has been pursuing music since 2004 and appeared on the popular show Sting in 2006 and 2007. But due to various issues, he feels that the progress of his career was somewhat stunted. However, he has stayed the course and hopes that in 2022, he can connect with fans to deliver good music without any violent content.
