Ruktuk gets attention with ‘TRUSTED’

-

Dancehall artiste Ruktuk says he was inspired by personal experiences to record his new single titled Trusted.

“I’ve been to a lot of different places throughout my life, and I’ve seen both the good and the bad. One thing that sticks out in my mind is how some people always try to pull you down when they see you rising. This is something I’ve observed both in Jamaica and overseas, and it makes it difficult for me to trust people. That’s why I wrote and recorded this song,” said the artiste.

The Montego Bay-born deejay produced the song that was released on his Ruktuk Music imprint in March.

“I’m pleased with the response that my new single is receiving. It’s getting tremendous support from DJs in Jamaica, the US, Canada and England,” said Ruktuk.

DEBUT ALBUM

He’s also promoting his debut album, titled Fully Charge Up, which was released in April. Among the tracks are Good Love, Fall In Love Again and Good Touch.

“My manager is currently working with several promoters to organise a promotional tour of the States for me. I’m really looking forward to this tour. I want to use the opportunity to get out there and expose my music to new audiences and build my fan base,” he said.
