Laa Lee to headline CHUG IT’s 10th anniversary party

-

Dancehall star Laa Lee is set to perform at the 10th anniversary of the popular show CHUG IT, which will be held at its home base at Sugarman’s Beach, Portmore, St Catherine, on Sunday, May 22. This stagi n g of the dancehall festival will be the first held in Jamaica since December 2019. Following the Government’s announcement of the full reopening of the entertainment sector, an air of excitement has enveloped the masses of partygoers as they look forward to the first large event to be held in the Sunshine City. Organisers of the event are currently carrying out extensive renovations to the beach venue, employing construction workers, carpenters, and other staff in preparation for the Labour Day Weekend event.

Known for the hits Bird, Dirt Bounce, Tip Inna It and Bong Bing, Laa Lee has quickly become a household name in Jamaica. He has performed in both Canada and the United Kingdom and has been stretching his legs on the home stage following the recent relaxation of entertainment restrictions.

The jovial entertainer, fans say, has brought back the fun in dancehall and continues to attract both younger and more mature audiences with his music and new trendy dance moves, causing him to go viral on Instagram and TikTok and rake in millions of views on YouTube.

CHUG IT is known for featuring fast-rising talent and this year, in addition to Laa Lee, emerging and highly anticipated entertainers are rostered to perform. Bishop Escobar and Di Unit are among the DJs. Since its inception in 2012, CHUG IT has been regarded as the ‘go-to’ drink-inclusive event for the masses. With the recent reopening of the sector, the organisers are gearing up to deliver on what the brand is best known for: unlimited liquor and a live entertainment package at an affordable cost.
