Making it easier for customers to pay online

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) continues to make it easier for customers to pay motor vehicle-related fees online at jamaicatax.gov.jm. The following motor vehicle fees can be paid online:

• Motor Vehicle Certificate of Fitness Fee

• Driver’s Licence Renewal

• Traffic Ticket fines

* And coming soon, Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate online payment.

You can now pay your motor vehicle fees your way: You choose!

• TAJ Online: jamaicatax.gov. jm.

• TAJ Mobile App: can be downloaded from the Google Play Store platform and is available only to users of Android devices at this time. (Motor Vehicle Certificate of Fitness fee & Traffic Tickets only). Additionally, taxpayers will now be able to track the status of their driver’s licence renewal application through the Online Driver’s Licence Status Search via TAJ’s website at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm to see if their renewed licence is ready for pick up. This comes as TAJ continues its thrust to expand its online service offerings and to promote contactless business transactions.

To pay online persons need:

• A valid credit card or debit card with credit card features, e.g., MasterCard or Visa

• Email Address

• Taxpayer Registration Number Taxpayers using the online service to file and pay taxes will save time and money by conducting these transactions from the convenience of their office, home, mobile devices, at any time.
