Ylvis takes part in fad, dances like a ‘Fox’ with Nippon Ham troupe

SAPPORO — Ylvis, a Norwegian comedy duo consisting of two brothers, performed their song “e Fox” before a Hokkaido Nippon Ham

Fighters home game at Sapporo Dome on Monday.

“The Fox” is the basis for the “Kitsune Dance” (Fox dance), a popular routine performed by the team’s Fighters Girls dance troupe at games.

Ylvis’ Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker performed the song in fox costumes and were accompanie­d on the field by 300 dancers, including the Fighters Girls. Afterward, the two threw out the ceremonial rst pitch. It was the rst time for the brothers to visit Japan.

Re ecting on the moment, Bard smiled and said that it was great to perform in Japan. (Sept. 21)
