New Pilots

Air Astana is continuing to send young Kazakhstanis abroad as part of its Ab-initio pilot training programme. Four new cadets enter the programme in May. By the middle of this year, 15 more cadets will have completed their training. As of today, 164 pilots have graduated from the Ab-initio programme and are working as first officers for Air Astana. At the beginning of 2016, Talgat Akhmetov, the first graduate of this programme, was promoted to captain on the Airbus А320.
