If you love what you do you are a happy person, and nowhere is this more true than for our flight attendants working out of Kazakhstan’s capital city, Astana. If you want to get to know them better, then we would like to welcome you to come and visit during the international exhibition, EXPO 2017.

Zhanna Korotkovskaya

In-flight Supervisor

I have always been attracted to the skies, which is why from the very beginning I decided to get closer and dedicate my life to aviation. I started working at Air Astana as a ground handling agent in Astana in 2010. As I met and sent off flight after flight, and crew after crew, I dreamed about flying. My dream finally came true when I was selected from many candidates and offered a position as a flight attendant. I was nervous but everything went very well. I started out as an ordinary flight attendant, then I became a purser in Economy Class and now I am an in-flight supervisor. My work requires me to be in excellent physical shape so I started a fitness regime. I discovered Crossfit, with which I have now won many awards for my club, in individual and all-republican competitions. As soon as the flight lands I set off to the gym to train. The staff and other members at the gym were surprised at first, to see me arrive in my attendant’s uniform and go straight to the changing room. They must have thought I had come to the wrong building and mistaken the gym for the airport. But now, I think, they are used to it. For me, sport and aviation is living! Training gives me discipline and keeps me in shape. In the gym I have learnt patience and determination, both of which are a great help in my work.
