Aliya mirkhaidarova Flight Attendant

-

What is the sky for me? It is my element. Many people are frightened when they even think about flying, but I wait impatiently for each journey. Every step I took since birth seems to have been leading me towards the skies, flying and my future profession. From the age of three I was absorbed with dancing; every minute of my life was scheduled with rehearsals, concerts, tours and suitcases. Every day involved costumes, make-up, a special smile and bearing, my hair in a tight bun. Now, all this remains present in my life and is of no small importance as we are the face of the company.

My career in aviation began in 2014. When I came for the interview, I saw all these glossy and beautiful girls. I was scared. I turned round and headed for the exit. When I opened the door I took a deep breath…and saw the sky. I will never forget it; blue, clear and quiet, it drew me to it. I thought it was a sign of my destiny! I squared my shoulders, returned with confidence, and waited for my turn. At every stage the number of candidates grew less, and my goal of becoming a flight attendant came closer. I am a happy person. I have a job I love that allows me to spend my free time in my favourite occupation – dancing. I have won a great number of awards, prizes and medals at dance competitions, but my great pride is to represent my Kazakhstan all around the world. My work allows me to fulfill my most cherished dreams. And I am so grateful to that sign of my destiny that brought me here, to Air Astana.
