World expo of architecture

Many people fell in love with Qingdao when they discovered Badaguan, a picturesque health resort featuring well-preserved historic villas and floral scenery throughout the year. Built during the late 1800s and early 1900s, it is testimony to the city’s century-old evolution and has been termed a ‘world expo of architecture’. It is perfect for sightseeing at any time, whether on foot or by car.

Occupying an area of more than 70 hectares, Badaguan translates as the ‘eight great passes of China’. There are 10 avenues crisscrossing the district and each of them is graced with distinct species of trees and flowers.
