The Great River Race,

Over 330 teams compete in this race involving a huge variety of traditional rowing boats on the River Thames in London.

It is not so much a sporting event as an entertaining festival for participants and public alike. The first boat leaves at 10:00 and there will be live music and food stalls at the finishing line at Ham. More information is available at greatriverrace.co.uk.
