-

Air Astana, the flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has been recognised as the Best Airline in Central Asia at the Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2021. This is the ninth consecutive time that Air Astana has received the award since 2012. Skytrax did not go ahead with the awards programme in 2020 due to the global health crisis.

“In spite of the challenges of the pandemic, top quality service delivery has continued to be a priority. I would like to thank our customers for their loyalty, and also my colleagues, who have shown great dedication in challenging circumstances, and who, I am pleased to say, have almost all returned to full-time work,” said Peter Foster, President and CEO of Air Astana.

“Air Astana’s continued success in being named the Best Airline in Central Asia underlines the high standards of on-board product and front-line staff service that they provide to customers. This is a fabulous achievement despite the crisis the airline industry has faced in the last 18 months,” said Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards are globally recognised as a valued benchmarking tool that is both independent and impartial.
