Record-breaking digital payments made on Black Friday
AFRICA’S LEADING payment service provider recently reported a 35 percent year on year increase of the amount of digital transactions made on its platform on Black Friday.
This year’s number of transactions exceeded DPO Group’s predictions, the company recording a rise of 500 percent on usual daily transaction volumes. Peak trading occurred a few minutes after midnight when there was a further 33 percent spike in digital payments.
