Meihuizen International, established in 1983, is one of the largest independently owned logistics companies in Cape Town, with a reputation in the marketplace for consistent excellence.

We have had the privilege of being associated with St. Helena Island since 1973 as a key partner to the operations of Solomon & Co., by providing logistic and procurement support. Our journey started on the RMS St. Helena and since her retirement we have continued with monthly shipments to the island on the M/V Helena with shipments carrying anything from retail to agricultural equipment.

Over the years sound friendships have been created, never affecting the professional approach we apply to them as valued clients – we deliver a personalised service, attending to all customs related documentation on their behalf and have in-person-onquay supervision of the loading of all their cargo.

We also played an instrumental role for the St. Helena Government in shipping the construction equipment for the airport project and feel privileged to be part of history as the first plane touched down on St. Helena airport in 2017.

Although we have been involved with the Island of St. Helena for 47 years, our experience includes involvement with Antarctica, Ascension Island, Tristan de Cunha, Falklands and Gough Island.
