ABOUT THE EXPERT

Kweku Bedu-Addo is the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank South Africa & Southern Africa.

Holding degrees in Agricultural Economics and Economic Policy Management, Bedu-Addo has been with Standard Chartered for much of his career. In 2004 he became Executive Director for the company’s Zambian business, before moving to Singapore in 2007 where he assumed the role of Director at the firm’s corporate head office.

In 2009 he moved to Ghana, becoming CEO and Managing Director of the Ghana division in 2010. After serving two years as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the West Africa 2 Cluster, he moved to Johannesburg in 2017, where he continues to fulfil his role as CEO for the South Africa & Southern Africa region.
