Limitless Possibilities

- Sean Galea-Pace Senior Editor, Outlook Publishing

Opportunity.

In Africa, the continent’s potential as a growth market is tremendous. In fact, its ever-growing population and market spell opportunity for businesses in a post-COVID-19 world.

And sitting on this month’s cover is DNI Group. As a diversified investment company, its strategic acquisitions cover various different companies from within telecoms, retail, distribution, and technology. The firm’s ultimate goal is to improve access to communication and connectivity for the many in emerging markets, affordably and conveniently through the use of proprietary technology and market expertise.

In our exclusive interview, we speak with Andrew Dunn, CEO at DNI Group, about the organisation’s inclusive mentality and pioneering vision of a collaborative ecosystem that champions financial literacy and inclusion.

Elsewhere in the magazine, Christo Horn, Vice President of Operations at Trevali, tells all about the global organisation’s latest projects and future plans within a promising mining sector. “Our value-driven decisionmaking and agility are both constant and are elements of our business that place us above the industry competition,” comments Horn.

Meanwhile, read our interview with Tony O’Neill, General Manager (Contracts) at PW Mining, where he discusses the execution of projects for major clients in the gold mining and the oil and gas sector. Despite causing disruption for many, COVID-19 has acted as a catalyst for a major upturn in gold price, which has subsequently benefited many of PW Mining’s clients within the industry.

“As a result, there is an increased urgency to bring mining projects online, which is showcased from the increased volume of enquiries coming in. Usually, this would be great news. However, it can’t be ignored that this upswing in gold price sits alongside a health crisis unseen before in the modern era. The impact on Africa has been significant, however, in the advent of this disaster, there were concerns as to just how bad it might get. Fortunately, the worst fears didn’t materialise and long may that remain the case.”
