BOPP THE BREEZER

Live life in colour is Bacardi Breezer’s invitation to consumers with it’s bright metallic hued labels reflecting this energetic, fun flavoured spirit cooler brand. “Our client needed a label substrate that could pop on the shelf as well as handle life in the fridge or ice bucket,” shares Henk Jacobs, General Manager of Lebone Paarl Labels. “BOPP (BiaxiallyOriented Polypropylene) was the perfect option as it is made from plastic film laid over in two directions for strength. BOPP’s moisture resistance and adhesive quality further make BOPP an excellent choice for Breezer’s glass bottles to ensure they remain in perfect condition and in place should they get wet.”

“We selected metallic BOPP as our base material over which we added each fruit flavour’s theme colour to create rich metallic effects without needing special foils,” adds Jacobs. “The chrome like finish catches the eye and the addition of white ink under the Breezer logo created a contrasting matt area to draw attention to the beverage’s name.” Jacobs further explains, “We printed these labels on our sophisticated UV flexo self-adhesive presses as they combine excellent print quality, high productivity and flexibility.”

Lebone Paarl Labels is FSSC 22000 certified, confirming that the food safety management system is compliant for food and beverage products. “We are also ISO 9001 and Mellow Colour certified,” concludes Jacobs. “Our clients can be confident their pressure sensitive labels are inspected according to stringent international standards for perfect continuity, full brand integrity and functionality to Spotlight their brands.”
