In New Brunswick, Canada, the Company opened its Caribou mine in the Bathurst Mining Camp. In March 2020, the operation had the temporary suspension of activities in zinc and lead-silver concentrates, restarting operations in February 2021. Trevali also controls all the other major base metal projects and deposits in the Camp, specifically Halfmile, Stratmat, Restigouche and Heath Steele.

2020, the operation activities were temporarily suspended, being restarted in February 2021.
The operations consist of an underground mine with significant underground development, a fully permitted 3,000 tonne per day mill, a sulphide flotation recovery plant, metallurgical and geochemical laboratories, a tailings management facility, and other associated infrastructure.
The Bathurst Mining Camp occupies a roughly circular area of approximately 70 kilometres diameter in the Miramichi Highlands of northern New Brunswick. The area boasts some 46 mineral deposits with defined tonnage and another hundred mineral occurrences, all hosted by Cambro-Ordovician rocks that were deposited in an ensialic backarc basin.
