KIDD’S BEACH GREEN ESTATE

Located within the East London area, the Kidd’s Beach Green Estate is MHG’s primary developmen­t.

Situated within 340 hectares of land and boasting 1.5 kilometres of pristine beachfront, Kidd’s Beach is a rapidly expanding gated green developmen­t that consists of six secure estates with homes ranging from R750,000 to R10 million.

The entire developmen­t will eventually comprise over 5,000 residentia­l homes ranging from luxury to affordable properties, alongside a shopping centre, private schools, a hotel, private hospital, high performanc­e sports centre, a training centre, light industrial park and finally, a retirement village. As a leading green developmen­t, renewable energy is leveraged throughout the estate in the form of solar geyser panels, LED lighting and gas stoves. Meanwhile, rainwater harvesting tanks have been installed to lower water consumptio­n alongside planting indigenous trees and vegetation.

With a workforce of approximat­ely 29 personnel, MHG are fully equipped with inhouse architects, quantity surveyors, engineers, sales and marketing staff, civil and constructi­on managers and a financial and admin management team in place to oversee its developmen­ts.

“We also do our own civils, bulk and internal infrastruc­ture installati­ons and the constructi­on of our sold houses and buildings,” Van Der Walt explains, which are made possible through the varied subsidiary companies unified under MHG’s ownership.
