Busmark designs, develops, manufactures, maintains and services buses on behalf of local and international OEM’s using local funding, labour and material.

“We do all the work on their behalf from the design stage to the finishing of the bus and we help to make sure the bus has a lifecycle — that is the crux of what we do,” explains Nodada.

“We locate it in various places as we have a manufacturing plant in Randfontein and another one in Cape Town. We have maintenance/ service centres across the country where we support vehicles that we have manufactured over a period.”

Busmark currently has 877 employees across both plants. This number has been significantly reduced as a result of COVID-19; however, the company’s intent is to grow back to the 2,000 employees it used to have.
