Afghanistan New Era

The United States completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan on Monday 30th August, ahead of the 31st August deadline that US President Joe Biden had imposed. The Hamad Karzai International Airport, which was the last remaining area under the control of the American forces witnessed chaotic scenes at the beginning of the evacuation whereby thousands of Afghans hoped to flee the country. There has been speculation from around the world of how Afghanistan will look like under Taliban rule. Many Afghans have been resettled in various countries including Uganda, which is the only African that took in the refugees.
