Current IEBC is tainted and can’t conduct election

The Star (Kenya) - - Voices -

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said he will make radical changes at the commission and secretariat, forgetting that he’s the cause of the problem that we now have. The failure by the IEBC to conduct a free, fair, transparent and credible election is because the chairman covered up the wrongs committed by the IEBC secretariat. Those electoral malpractices were committed on his watch. It is he as the commission boss and his staff who committed these irregularities and illegalities. He cannot therefore now turn around and blame the secretariat alone and exempt himself. As he points at the secretariat, three of his fingers point at him. The IEBC in its current format and with the current chairman and CEO, Ezra Chiloba, cannot conduct a credible and peaceful election because they are now tainted. They should resign.
