Stiff neck and shoulder pain

Sam: Doctor! I have pain in my neck and shoulder. My muscles are really tight and they feel heavy. I think it is causing me a terrible headache. What should I do?

Dr. Lee: How long have you been suffering from this pain?

Sam: Almost six months.
샘:거의6개월정도요.
Dr. Lee: Does it get worse when you’re under stress?
이원장:스트레스받으면심해지나요?
Sam: Of course. Sometimes when the pain is severe, I can hardly fall asleep due to the pain. It gets even worse in the morning.

Dr. Lee: Muscle tightness and pain around your neck and shoulder is so common that more than half the patients who visit my clinic have this symptom.

Dr. Lee: Wet cupping therapy is a very effective method to relieve muscle tension. Dry cupping is also helpful but a little weaker than wet cupping.
