Ticket Monster offers ‘multi-destination’ tickets

Normally, travelers prefer to purchase tickets for direct flights because the trip is quicker and more convenient. So, the seats are more expensive than ones with obligatory stopovers en route to the final destination.

But these days some people intentionally want to make stopovers to tour more countries. However, it is not easy to find plane tickets that allow stopovers at destinations they want to visit.

To meet such growing demand, Ticket Monster (TMON) has set up an easy-to-use online sales platform for those seeking to buy tickets enabling them to stop over in many places.

“More and more travelers want to visit as many places as possible with one round-trip ticket,” a TMON sales manager said. “So we have built a platform for our customers to search and find affordable plane seats allowing them to visit their favorite sites before reaching the final destinations. Our database has 100,000 different types of tickets.”

In particular, there is a growing need for stopovers among people on long-distance trips to Europe, North America and South America, according to the manager, who said TMON offers diverse ticket choices for “multi-destination” travelers.

By selecting the period and destination, TMON’s search engine finds various tickets showing a list of cities that the planes go to.

For instance, if the one wants to go to Europe in December, TMON finds a 670,000 won ($600) round-trip ticket, offered by Czech Airlines. With the 15-day ticket, the traveler first goes to Frankfurt, and then to Amsterdam and Prague, before returning to Korea.
