사샤: 아무런 기록도 안 남아 있어요. 단하나도요. 합의를 원하는 피해자는 비밀 유지 각서에 서명해야만 했죠. 변호사는 합의금의3분의 1을받아서 좋고, 교회는사건을덮을수있으니까좋고요.

MIKE: Jeez. It’s a freakin’ racket.마이크: 제길. 순장사꾼이네요.

BEN: It’s more complicated than that. MacLeish’s got a duty to the client to get the best deal he can.

벤:그렇게단순하게만볼순 없어.맥클레쉬는 의뢰인에게 최대한 유리한 조건을 끌어낼의무가있으니까.

SACHA: Sure, but how many victims do you represent and profit from before you say something? 사샤: 그렇죠, 하지만얼마나많은피고인을대리하면서돈을번건지봐야죠.

MIKE: Garabedian would say none. That’s why he’s taking these cases to court. Because he wants people to know about this.

SACHA: I agree. And legal ethics aside Ben, I mean, operating the way MacLeish has all but guarantees that the abuse stays under wraps.

사샤: 맞아요.변호사윤리같은건차치하더라도,맥클레쉬처럼처리하면사건은영원히은폐될수밖에없어요.

BEN: Yeah. Did MacLeish confirm all Saviano’s priests?

벤: 그래.사비아노가말한신부들이다맞다고맥클레쉬가확인해줬어?

ROBBY: No. He’s limited by his confidentiality agreement.

로비: 아니요.비밀유지의무때문에말할수없대요.

SACHA: But clearly he’s settled cases against a number of them. Phil’s put me in touch with some of the other victims, I’m pretty confident all of his priests are going to check out.
