Real estate firm JLL names new head in Korea

Global real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) said Monday it named Chang Chae-hun as the new head of the firm’s Korea business. Chang headed the Korean outfit’s property and asset management division.

According to JLL, Chang, who has 23 years of experience in the real estate businesses in and outside Korea, will assume the post beginning next year.

Chang will succeed Steven Craig, who has been leading JLL Korea for seven years will focus on Korea’s capital markets next year.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with Steven and our local management teams to achieve growth and drive more local business, while delivering the highest standards of service that our clients depend on from us,” Chang said.

“It is certainly an exciting time to take on this role with so much growth and many exciting opportunit­ies in Korea’s real estate sector.”

Chang joined the firm in 2000 and served in a series of senior roles at both JLL and LaSalle Investment Management. He earned his master’s degree in Real Estate Developmen­t from Columbia University.

The leadership change is interprete­d as the firm’s bid to enhance its business here.
