I would like to offer my heartfelt congratula­tions on the 67th anniversar­y of the founding of The Korea Times.

Founded in 1950,

The Korea Times has kept the world informed about the Republic of Korea for nearly seven decades, from the tragic Korean War to the nation’s unpreceden­ted economic growth and hard-fought democratiz­ation. With informativ­e and insightful reporting on a wide range of top- ics, the Times has earned the loyalty of a broad readership around the world as well as here at home.

Nowadays, our need to remain connected with the world is greater than ever, making the role of The Korea Times all the more important.

I encourage you, as Korea’s oldest English-language newspaper, to take the lead in efforts to elevate Korea’s global standing and help promote peace and common prosperity forthwith.
