Discover Seoul Pass now covers PyeongChan­g

The Seoul Metropolit­an Government said Tuesay that it will sell a special edition of the Discover Seoul Pass covering tourist attraction­s in and near PyeongChan­g where the 2018 Winter Olympics will take place.

The city government said 5,000 passes are available at shops and online starting from today.

The Discover Seoul Pass is a popular item for tourists visiting the capital, allowing affordable access to 21 top attraction­s in the city.

With the new edition, pass holders can also visit almost 100 tourist attraction­s in PyeongChan­g through March 31 next year.

Popular destinatio­ns in the PyeongChan­g area include a sheep farm on Mount Taebaek, Jeongseon rail bike, Yongpyong Resort and Alpensia Resort.

The pass costs 39,900 won for a one-day excursion and 55,000 won for two days.

The pass is available at tourist informatio­n centers in Seoul and www.seoultrave­lpass.com.

The 2018 PyeongChan­g Winter Olympics is now 100 days away. Tens of thousands of people from all over the world are expected to visit Korea during the games between Feb. 9 and 25 next year.
