Band LANY to perform in Seoul

American band LANY will play at Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul on April 7 as part of the Asian leg of its world tour.

The indie pop trio from Los Angeles will also tour Thailand, the Philippine­s, Hong Kong and Japan before heading back to North America.

The trio comprise of Paul Jason Klein who performs lead vocals, keyboards, piano and guitar with Jake Clifford Goss on drums and sampling pad and Les Priest playing synthesize­rs, keyboards, guitar and backing vocals. The three formed the group in March 2014 when Klein flew to Nashville to meet up with Goss and Priest.

LANY released its debut mini-album, “Acronymns,” later that year, with the song “ILYSB” generating significan­t interest online.

They released their self-titled studio album in June 2017.

The following year saw the band undertake a U.S. tour including a festival appearance at Lollapaloo­za.

LANY spent the summer of 2017 playing festivals and touring Australia and Asia, and then hitting Europe in the winter.

This year sees the band touring Asia.

LANY (pronounced Lay-Nee) is an acronym for Los Angeles and New York.

Yes24 Live Hall is in Gwangjin-gu, eastern Seoul, near Gwangnaru Station on Line 5.
