The Liberty Party Korea (LKP) reform committee fired Jun Won-tchack, a controversial conservative lawyer, from a position after having a dispute with the committee head, the main opposition party said, Friday.

The conservative party’s reform committee chief Kim Byoung-joon said the decision came after Jun failed to narrow differences with other committee members over a plan to reform the party. After a defeat in the June local elections, the LKP formed the special reform committee aimed at resetting the main political agenda and reorganizing the party structure.
