Ex-co­me­dian Seo Se-won seen with wife, daughter

Co­me­dian-turned-pas­tor Seo Se-won was spot­ted in pub­lic nearly four years af­ter his tur­bu­lent divorce with ac­tress Seo Jung-hee in 2015.

Rev. Seo gave a ser­mon at a church in south­ern Seoul on Aug. 18, ac­cord­ing to the Septem­ber edi­tion of women’s monthly mag­a­zine W Dong-A.

He was spot­ted with his cur­rent wife and a lit­tle girl who is be­lieved to be the five-year-old daughter of the pair.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­porter of the mag­a­zine, Seo, 64, ap­peared to be healthy and en­er­getic, de­spite his age.

“He was dom­i­nat­ing, fas­ci­nat­ing his au­di­ences with his per­sonal sto­ries about his fail­ures, and the 8 bil­lion won of debt he had to shoul­der af­ter his busi­ness failed,” the ar­ti­cle read.

Seo talked about how God an­swered his prayers, men­tion­ing his ex­pe­ri­ence in 2011.

Ac­cord­ing to him, back then he was in­vited by a church in Bri­tain to give a ser­mon there. But he had no money to pay for air­fare and ac­com­mo­da­tion. Be­ing des­per­ate, he prayed for hours and God an­swered him, he was quoted as say­ing.

He went on to say he hap­pened to meet a celebrity who was mulling to pur­chase his build­ing that was put on auc­tion. The deal went smoothly and he was able to go to Bri­tain.

Seo was a for­mer co­me­dian and TV show host. His mar­riage with his for­mer wife Seo Jung-hee ended dra­mat­i­cally in 2015. He was sen­tenced to a six-month pri­son term, which was sus­pended for two years, for do­mes­tic vi­o­lence.

He has led a small church in Seoul as a pas­tor since. His for­mer wife Seo, mean­while, ap­peared in re­al­ity TV pro­grams with their daughter.
