Comedian-turned-pastor Seo Se-won was spotted in public nearly four years after his turbulent divorce with actress Seo Jung-hee in 2015.

Rev. Seo gave a sermon at a church in southern Seoul on Aug. 18, according to the September edition of women’s monthly magazine W Dong-A.

He was spotted with his current wife and a little girl who is believed to be the five-year-old daughter of the pair.

According to the reporter of the magazine, Seo, 64, appeared to be healthy and energetic, despite his age.

“He was dominating, fascinating his audiences with his personal stories about his failures, and the 8 billion won of debt he had to shoulder after his business failed,” the article read.

Seo talked about how God answered his prayers, mentioning his experience in 2011.

According to him, back then he was invited by a church in Britain to give a sermon there. But he had no money to pay for airfare and accommodation. Being desperate, he prayed for hours and God answered him, he was quoted as saying.

He went on to say he happened to meet a celebrity who was mulling to purchase his building that was put on auction. The deal went smoothly and he was able to go to Britain.

Seo was a former comedian and TV show host. His marriage with his former wife Seo Jung-hee ended dramatically in 2015. He was sentenced to a six-month prison term, which was suspended for two years, for domestic violence.

He has led a small church in Seoul as a pastor since. His former wife Seo, meanwhile, appeared in reality TV programs with their daughter.
