HMP Law in­creas­ing global recog­ni­tion

HMP Law, a ma­jor law firm in Korea, said Wed­nes­day that the In­ter­na­tional Bar As­so­ci­a­tion’s (IBA) an­nual con­fer­ence in Seoul is a great op­por­tu­nity to strengthen global net­works and it will make the most of it.

About 20 lawyers, in­clud­ing Park Sang-il (IBA’s Host Com­mit­tee mem­ber) and Lim Hyeyeon (IBA’s Or­ga­niz­ing Com­mit­tee mem­ber), will rep­re­sent the law firm at the world’s largest and most pres­ti­gious in­ter­na­tional meet­ing of le­gal pro­fes­sion­als.

Dur­ing the event that started Mon­day and will run through Sept. 27, HMP lawyers are us­ing Suji’s Deli as their tem­po­rary PR booth and are there from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily to wel­come vis­i­tors.

“HMP Law has built its rep­u­ta­tion as one of the most trusted Korean law firms in the field of in­ter­na­tional busi­nesses,” Park Kyun-je, a part­ner at HMP Law, said. “I hope the law firm will strengthen its global com­pet­i­tive­ness through this con­fer­ence.”

Hwang Ju-myung, a for­mer judge, es­tab­lished HMP Law in 1993 with 10 other lawyers. It has since grown into one of the coun­try’s largest law firms.
