Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical masterpiece, “School of Rock,” follows the success of “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Cats.” After its premiere in Broadway in 2015, it became a Laurence Olivier Award-winning smash hit and has since been staged around the globe, including in Spain, Japan and Austria. The dynamic production is based on the 2003 comedy film of the same name that starred Jack Black as a struggling rock singer and guitarist named Dewey Finn who disguises himself as a substitute teacher at a prep school.

Notre-Dame de Paris Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Until March 24
The Korean adaptation of the fan-favorite musical, “Notre-Dame de Paris,” is returning to theaters across the country this year for its sixth season in Seoul, Busan, Daegu and Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. Based on Victor Hugo’s novel of the same name, the musical features music by Riccardo Cocciante. Set in 15th-century Paris, the story revolves around the themes of desire and love, featuring iconic characters like bell-ringer Quasimodo and Andalusian Bohemian Esmeralda.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch Charlotte Theater March 22-June 23
The 14th season of the iconic rock musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” which has been performed more than 2,500 times since its Korean premiere in 2005, will grace the stage this year. Playing the lead role of Hedwig Robinson, a genderqueer East German singer who leads a tumultuous life after a botched transition surgery, are three veteran actors: Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok and Jeon Dong-suk.
