Korean envoy to Islamabad sends congratulations

- By Park Ki-jun Park Ki-jun is ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

I extend warmest congratulations to all the Pakistanis who live in Korea as you celebrate Pakistan Day. March 23 holds a significant place in the hearts of all Pakistanis, commemorating the Lahore Resolution of 1940, which laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan. Embracing the core values of unity, faith and discipline inherent in Pakistan Day, I remain optimistic that Pakistan will continue to achieve remarkable progress in the years ahead.

Pakistan’s abundant natural resources and youthful demographic offer a competitive edge for a promising future. Additionally, Pakistan’s rich tapestry of history, heritage and vibrant traditions has fostered the flourishing of diverse cultures. These combined human, material resources and cultural assets form a robust foundation for Pakistan’s ongoing development trajectory.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1983, Korea and Pakistan have been developing a deep bond of friendship and cooperation. Our collaboration spans various sectors, including trade, culture, people-to-people exchanges and development cooperation. As we celebrate Pakistan Day, I want to reaffirm our commitment to further strengthening ties between Korea and Pakistan, and exploring new avenues of cooperation towards a brighter future.

On this significant day, I also want to congratulate the newly inaugurated government of Pakistan. May the spirit of Pakistan Day continue to guide the new government and Pakistani people towards continued success and prosperity. I wish you all a memorable and joyous Pakistan Day celebration.
