Hyundai E&C’s apartment complex in Yeosu to become symbol of luxurious living
Hyundai E&C’s upcoming premium apartment complex, Hillstate Jukrim the Proud in Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, will change the skyline and improve the living quality of the country’s southern coastal city, according to the country’s major construction company, Wednesday.
With a total of 1,272 suites across 20 apartment buildings, the new apartments in Yeosu’s Jukrim area will be a public housing project that will be jointly carried out by the company and Jeonnam Development Corp., a state-run urban developer. Currently under construction, the project bearing the company’s signature upmarket apartment brand Hillstate, is expected to be completed in 2027.
Hillstate Jukrim will be inside Jukrim Residential District No. 1, which is now going through a facelift to improve the region’s residences, commerce, education, logistics, information and communication technology and public health and welfare. Over 4,900 households in the region will benefit from the redevelopment project.
The corporation has already completed the urban redevelopment of Jukrim Residential District No. 2. Once completed, Hillstate Jukrim, will be the centerpiece of the two renovated residential districts that comprise over 9,000 households, according to the company.
Hillstate Jukrim boasts close proximity to Yeosu National Industrial Complex, which sees some 25,000 employees commute to 300 companies including GS Caltex, LG Chem, Lotte Chemical and Hanwha Solutions. The apartments are just a few kilometers south of Yulchon Industrial Complex No. 1 and also close to Yeosu City Hall as well as Yulchon Industrial Complex No. 2 and 3 currently under construction.
From hospitals to large-size supermarkets, schools, parks and Yeosu’s first children’s library, now all under construction, a broad range of public facilities will be situated around Hillstate Jukrim.
A new sports center will be built by January 2029 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism after the city was selected by the ministry as a project to improve leisure infrastructure in the local municipality.
The company’s latest apartment project also features cutting-edge technologies for future residents, including Hi-oT (high-end Internet of Things) for home appliances, a smartphone key system and a carto-home service.
“Despite providing access to excellent infrastructure and schools of Jukrim, a rising residential area in Yeosu, the apartment will be supplied under a price ceiling set by the government because they are being built on a public housing project site,” a company official said. “Furthermore, to live up to the brand Hillstate, the new apartments will usher in above-the-average community facilities and services.”
