Health minister opens intensive care center: Minister of Health Ali Al-Obeidi inaugurated recently an intensive care center in Al-Adan Hospital with a 41-bed capacity costing KD 6 million.
During the ceremony, the minister said in a press statement that the center is exceptional and considered one of the biggest centers in the Gulf region, namely the variety of care divisions and emergency system capable of dealing with the most sensitive cases.
The new 300 square meter center consists of two levels with 40 rooms, in addition to doctors and administration offices, the minister noted. The minister expressed confidence that medical services, including nursing services in the center will be based on qualified cadets and international standards. (KUNA) Al-Qalaa residents praise Kuwait’s support: Natives of Al-Qalaa town in Mount Lebanon praised Kuwait’s support for development projects in their town, stressing depth of relationship between Beirut and the Gulf country.
They also expressed, in statements to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of inaugurating a water well in the town, appreciation for Kuwait and for unlimited contributions in Lebanon. The sentiments of gratitude were addressed to the political leadership in Kuwait, most notably His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The deputy chairman of a local committee representing the Hammana town natives, Haitham Jamil Abulhassan, told KUNAthat Kuwait’s unlimited contributions, namely the funding of projects and investments “became a source of pride for all of us,” describing the Kuwaiti-Lebanese relations as historic and distinctive.
