Trick and rob: Police are looking for some four youngsters who trick and rob juvenile victims of their belongings, reports Al-Anba daily.
Security sources said the suspects try to be like females when they speak to their victims on the phone, and lure them to specific locations where they are robbed of their personal effects. Asian injured: An Asian man sustained various injuries during a traffic accident on the Sixth Ring Road, reports Al-Anba daily.
Apparently, the Asian had lost control over his car, swerving and crashed into a concrete barrier along the road. He was rushed to the Farwaniya Hospital. Car thieves caught: Jahra police have arrested two Bedoun youths for stealing a car belonging to an unidentified person, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
This follows a report the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry received from a Kuwaiti man in Taima reporting a car had been parked behind his car and there was nobody inside it.
Police hurried to the house and found the two youths standing next to the car and they allegedly became jittery when they realized the police knew the car had been reported missing. They were referred to the relevant authorities without delay. Fire destroys car: Firefighters were able to douse a fire that engulfed a vehicle in the desert facing the King Fahad Expressway, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The car was completely destroyed and police are conducting investigation to identify its owner and the cause of fire.
‘Invest in Kuwait’: Kuwaiti Minister of Finance Nayef Al-Hajraf called here Thursday on British businessmen and companies to invest in Kuwait and to take part in its development projects.
While opening the Kuwaiti-British business forum, the minister said the State of Kuwait always welcomes British companies wishing to invest in Kuwait and to make use of available investment opportunities provided by the Gulf country’s development plan.
He stressed the necessity of promoting and developing investment openings between both sides, proceeding from the outcomes of the historic state visit by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the UK.
In this context, the Kuwaiti minister called for finding a mutual formula for following up on economic programs and projects in both countries.
He boasted that his country enjoys a distinguished position that allows it to help British companies reach Asian neighboring countries, noting that Kuwait had taken London a launching point for its overseas investment through the Kuwait Investment Office, which was established 60 years ago.
The forum was attended by a large number of British and Kuwaiti businessmen from various economic sectors. (KUNA) Wife assaulted: A 47-year-old Kuwaiti woman has filed a case with the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station accusing her husband of beating her over disagreement between them, reports Al-Rai daily.
The wife has submitted a medical report which shows damage to the cornea of her eye.
When the husband was summoned for interrogation, he told police this was just a family dispute. However, he has been detained pending further interrogation.
