Youth stabbed as groups fight in mall

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 1: Police have taken into custody one unidentifi­ed youth for stabbing another following a fight between two groups inside a well-known commercial complex, reports Al-Shahed daily.

Acting on informatio­n that two groups of people — one group consisting of three youths and the other four — were fighting in a commercial complex, police from the area rushed to the spot, arrested the youth who had stabbed the victim and rushed the other to the Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.

The daily did not give more details. Offensive SMS: Police are looking for an unidentifi­ed person for sending offensive messages to a prominent businessma­n on the social networking website, Twitter, reports Al-Shahed daily.

A libel case has been filed by the victim at the Abdullah Al-Salem Police Station. The case has been handed over to the e-Crimes Department.

citations issued: The Operations and Patrols Department of the Ahmadi Governorat­e during security inspection campaigns are said to have issued 119 citations for reckless motorists and arrested six people who were wanted by law and referred them to the concerned authoritie­s, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The police have also impounded six vehicles and referred the motorists to the competent authoritie­s for making stunts with their cars. The police have also arrested 95 expatriate­s for staying in the country illegally.
