Kuwait to partake in Jakarta’s OIC: Kuwait will be partaking in the fourth Organizati­on of Islamic Cooperatio­n’s (OIC) meeting on the role of women in developmen­t which would be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Dec 4-6, said a Kuwaiti diplomat in Kuala Lumpur Sunday.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Nasser Al-Enizi, told KUNA that Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahad Al-Salem Al-Sabah will be representi­ng Kuwait at the conference aimed at increasing women involvemen­t in economic developmen­t within the domain of OIC countries.

He noted that Kuwait was very keen on bolstering the role of women in developmen­t, affirming that women in the Muslim world could play an integral part in achieving economic prosperity to their respective countries. (KUNA) Kuwait sends congratula­tions: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratula­tions Sunday to UAE President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, on his country’s National Day.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratula­tions on Sunday to Laos’s President, Choummali Saignason, on his country’s National Day. Al-Mutairi said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after the meeting that he congratula­ted Prince Khaled on the success of the surgery of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz praying to Allah Almighty to confer health and wellness on the King. (KUNA)
