Al-Qenai wins Asia top post: The Secretary of Kuwait Journalist Association (KSA) Faisal Al-Qenai won on Sunday the Presidency of Asia Sport Journalist Confederation after being elected unopposed.
Al-Qenai will head the continental body, AIPS Asia, for the next four years.
Al-Qenai, who is also the Vice President of Association Internationale De La Presse Sportive (AIPS), won the seat after withdrawal of his competitor, J. Otgontsagan of Mongolia Sports Press Association.
The Kuwaiti was elected unopposed at AIPS Asia’s 16th Annual Congress at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Kuwait City.
The election for the AIPS Asia Executive Committee was seamless following the withdrawal of a number of candidates and the consequent unanimous election of the remaining nominees.
After the ceremony, Al-Qenai said in a press statement that he is happy Kuwait has regained the Confederation headquarters back here, after the transfer of its main office 22 years ago to South Korea. (KUNA) Jarallah receives credentials: Foreign Undersecretary Khaled Suliman Al-Jarallah received on Sunday credentials of the newlyassigned Abu Dhabi-based Chilean non-resident ambassador to Kuwait, Jean Paul Jean Paul Tarud.
The ceremony of delivering the copy of credentials was attended by the director of protocol, Dhari Ejran AlEjran, and the director of the undersecretary bureau, Ayham Abdul-Latif AlOmar. (KUNA)
