Bedoun critical in new stabbing

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: A 25-year-old Bedoun sustained serious injuries when an unidentified individual along with three of his friends assaulted the victim and stabbed him on the shoulder at a petrol station on Sixth Ring Road in Sulaibiya.
When the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about an individual bleeding profusely in a petrol station in Sulaibiya, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and discovered that a passerby referred the victim to Jahra Hospital in his private vehicle.
They rushed to the hospital and discovered that the victim, who is a 25-year-old Bedoun, was stabbed on the left shoulder and he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
Securitymen went to the petrol station on Sixth Ring Road in Sulaibiya and examined the victim’s vehicle. Eyewitnesses informed securitymen that the quarrel occurred because the victim was driving the suspect’s vehicle. Using the information given by the eyewitnesses, securitymen managed to identify the suspect and rushed to his flat in Jahra to arrest him.
He was referred to Jahra police station where he revealed during investigations that he was accompanied with three friends, among whom two were Bedouns and the other was a Syrian expatriate. He further revealed that he noticed the victim driving his mother’s vehicle and approached him. Argument with the victim developed into a physical fight during which he took a knife and stabbed the victim on his shoulder.
The suspect’s mother was summoned to the police station, where she informed securitymen that she had given her vehicle to the victim.
A case was registered and the suspect was detained in police custody for legal procedures. Investigations are ongoing to arrest the other three suspects who are in hiding.
Security sources revealed that when the suspect rushed to the suspect’s apartment to arrest him, the suspect was with a lawyer, who abused the securitymen.
Securitymen filed a case of insulting securitymen while on duty against the lawyer at the police station of the area and the lawyer was summoned to the station for interrogations.
Sources said the Director General of Jahra Security Directorate Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah visited the victim at the hospital.
