Kuwait crush Tadamun 101-48

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: Kuwait basketball team on Sunday crushed Tadamun 101-48 in the third round of the second stage of the 51st Kuwait Basketball League.

Kuwait team was led by Rashid Al-Rabah, Ahmad AlMutairi, Salem Al-Enezi, and Abdulrahma­n Juma to the big win.

Kuwait team was vastly experience­d and skillful compared to Tadamun.

Meanwhile, Kazma, the defending champion, defeated Sulaibkhat 84-48.

In other matches, Arabi won against Yarmuk 75-67, while Al-Shabab defeated Salmiya 63-44.

For the past 50 years, Qadsia won the title 25 times, followed by Arabi eight times, while Kazma won it seven times.

Utah snapped a two-game losing streak with its fifth consecutiv­e regular-season victory over Orlando. The Jazz played without point guard Mo Williams, out indefinite­ly with a thumb injury. Kings 108, Trail Blazers 96

In Sacramento, Calif, Marcus Thornton scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half to help slumping Sacramento snap Portland’s five-game winning streak.

The Kings played without starting center DeMarcus Cousins, who was suspended indefinite­ly Saturday for unprofessi­onal behavior and conduct detrimenta­l to the team.

Already ahead by nine, the Kings opened the fourth quarter with a 7-0 run, including a 3-pointer by Thornton, to build their lead to 87-71. The Blazers trailed by at least 13 the rest of the way.
