Corpse found off Kubbar isle
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 25, (Agencies): The Foreign Ministry has been in contact with the government authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following the “tragic” death of a Kuwaiti student in the Emirate of Sharjah on Monday, a ministry official said.
Kuwaiti student Mubarak Mishal Mubarak was a “victim” of a “regrettable incident” which caused his death early today.
The ministry, soon after it was informed of the incident, contacted the UAE authorities concerned via the Consulate General and its Culture Office to know details of the incident and follow up the investigations.
The source commended cooperation shown by the UAE authorities who expressed readiness to inform the officials in the Consulate General over developments of investigation. Corpse found: The corpse of an unknown individual was discovered near Kubbar Island recently, says AlSeyassah.
Reportedly, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a corpse near Kubbar Island, marine rescue team along with officers from Coastal Guard rushed to the location and referred the corpse to Forensics Department for autopsy.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had died due to drowning. A case was registered for investigations.
The Public Relations Department of General Fire Department Lt Colonel Khalil Al-Amir commended the efforts taken by the rescue officers and said they are prepared to deal with all types of incidents and emergencies.
