Parliament speaker to visit Oman: Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Ali AlRashed is scheduled to begin an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman on Friday, according to official sources.
Al-Rashed, during his four-day visit, would hold talks with senior Omani officials, namely Chairman of the Shura Council, Khaled Bin Hilal Al-Muawli, and other ranking figures.
Official talks between Al-Rashed’s delegation and the Omani leaders are scheduled to address means of boosting mutual cooperation between the two countries, particularly at the parliamentary level.
The speaker will also visit some of the country’s cultural and civic landmarks.
Oman and Kuwait maintain close and warm ties. The two countries are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, a regional bloc formed in the early 80s for sake of greater coordination and cooperation among the regional states.
The GCC also includes Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar. Officials of these regional countries regularly hold coordination and consultative talks. (KUNA) ‘Outpatient’ allocations on agenda: The proposal to allocate outpatient clinics exclusively for Kuwaiti citizens in the mornings was discussed recently in a meeting of the Health Zone Council, during which the council members unanimously voted in favor of the proposal, reports Al-Jaridah daily.
This proposal will be submitted to the Undersecretaries Council of Ministry of Health headed by Dr Mohammad Al-Haifi for necessary action.
However, sources of Ministry of Health announced that the issue will be included in the agenda of the meeting of the Undersecretaries Council post March 3.
