Meanwhile, a GCC expatriate died while two others sustained injuries when a vehicle toppled on Salmi Road. The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department while paramedics referred the injured victims to Jahra Hospital for treatment.

Furthermor­e, a 28-year old Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his motorbike slipped on the Arabian Gulf Street. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.

In addition, an 8-year old Egyptian child sustained injuries when a speeding vehicle hit him in Fintas. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred the child to Adan Hospital for treatment.

Agencies add: Sponsor threatened: An elderly Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing an Ethiopian maid of threatenin­g to kill her and stealing money and gold ring from her, reports Al-Shahed daily.

In her complaint the woman said the incident happened while she was driving along the Nuwaiseeb Road.

The maid, who was seated on the back seat, allegedly grabbed her by the neck and forced her to pull over.

They she ordered the woman to hand over her ring and the money she had in her possession, got out of the vehicle and escaped. A 25-year old Pakistani expatriate and a 52-year old Indian expatriate died while four other expatriate­s sustained injuries when a traffic accident occurred on Subbiya Road. Securityme­n and paramedics rushed to the location when they received informatio­n about the accident.
