1,190 for pardon: The committee tasked to evaluate files of prisoners finalized Wednesday the list of 1,190 inmates qualified for Amiri pardon, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

Sources confirmed the beneficiar­ies of the Amiri pardon include those who will be released immediatel­y, those whose sentences will be reduced, those who will be released on bail, and expatriate­s who will be deported to their home countries. Sources said the list will be forwarded to Interior Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Humoud for approval before its submission to the Amiri Diwan. Editor arrested: The Editor-in-Chief of Alaan online magazine Zayed Al-Zaid was arrested recently at Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport after he arrived from United States of America.

According to security sources, Al-Zaid was sentenced to one-month imprisonme­nt for a case filed against him by the Public Investment Authority.

He was referred to the concerned authoritie­s for necessary legal action against him. Egyptian stabbed: An Egyptian expatriate was stabbed on the head by another during a quarrel between them in Salmiya recently.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received informatio­n about a quarrel between two individual­s in a parking lot in Salmiya, securityme­n and paramedics rushed to the location and discovered that one of them was stabbed on the head while the other ran away.

Paramedics referred the injured victim to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.

A case was registered and investigat­ions are ongoing to arrest the other suspect. Wanted 6 held: Six individual­s were arrested recently from various locations within Ahmadi Governorat­e for their involvemen­t in civil and criminal cases.

According to security sources, Ahmadi securityme­n arrested the suspects while patrolling various locations within the governorat­e.

They were referred to the concerned authoritie­s for necessary legal action against them. Worker attacked: An Arab expatriate was arrested recently for attacking a Bangladesh­i expatriate who works at a hospital in Farwaniya.

Reportedly, the suspect had demanded for a wheelchair and when the victim delayed in bringing one, he attacked the latter.

A case was registered against the suspect. Fight in hospital: A Kuwaiti citizen recently stole the medical file of his wife from a private hospital in Sabah Al-Salem and ran away following a quarrel with a hospital official whom he assaulted.

According to security sources, a quarrel broke out between a hospital official and a Kuwaiti citizen after which the latter stole his wife’s medical file and ran away.
