Kuwait, Oman discuss bilateral ties
MUSCAT, March 3, (KUNA): The visiting Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Ali Fahad Al-Rashid received Sunday at his residency here ViceChairman of the State Council of Oman Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al-Hosani.
Al-Rashid and Al-Hosani reviewed bilateral relations between the two Gulf nations and means to bolster cooperation in all domains.
They also discussed parliamentary cooperation between the Kuwaiti National Assembly and the State Council of Oman, the upper house of Omani parliament.
Al-Hosani underlined that OmaniKuwaiti ties are ever growing and developing, thanks to the unlimited support from the political leaderships in the two countries.
Meanwhile, Fahad Al-Rashid and his accompanying delegation paid a visit Sunday to the headquarters of the Council of Oman, bicameral parliament made of the State Council and Shura Council (Majlis A’Shura).
The Council of Oman comprises two separate buildings to the State Council and Shura Council, five multi-purpose halls, and huge library including nearly a hundred thousands of books.
The designs of the impressive edifices were inspired by exotic Islamic architecture and Omani ancient architecture styles.
The Kuwait delegation also visited the Royal Opera House Muscat, the leading arts and culture organization in the Sultanate of Oman.
