Gun, ammunition, drugs, liquor seized

KUWAIT CITY, March 3: Two unidentified brothers were arrested recently for possession of drugs, ammunition and a hunting gun, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

According to a security source, while Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling, they noticed two individuals in a vehicle, which they were parking in an open ground. When they noticed the patrol officers, they fled from the location.

Securitymen chased them and forced them to stop. They discovered that the two occupants of the vehicle are brothers.

They checked the vehicle and found 40 sachets of methamphetamine also known as ‘Shapu’ drug, a sachet of heroin, 495 ammunition rounds of a machine gun, a magazine on weapons and a hunting gun.

The two brothers were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Meanwhile, an unidentified individual was arrested recently in Shuwaikh Industrial Area for possession and consumption of alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Reportedly, while securitymen were patrolling the area, they demanded a reckless motorist to pull over, but the latter ignored the securitymen and attempted to flee from the location. However, securitymen managed to chase and seize him.

They checked his vehicle and found a piece of hashish, two bottles of locally brewed liquor and a large sum of money.
