FLCC marks 21st anniversary
‘Until the Whole World Hears’
KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Filipino Language Christian Congregation (FLCC), a Filipino OFW Full-Gospel Church ministering under the auspices of the National Evangelical Church in Kuwait marked its 21st anniversary on Friday under the theme “Until the Whole World Hears”. The event was organised by all the satellite churches and ministries under the tutelage of Pastor Jopet Alim of the FLCC Worship Ministry and Pastor Jun Simbulan of the FLCC Fellowship Ministry. Spotted during the FLCC anniversary celebration were Philippine Charge d’Affaires Attorney Raul H Dado, Labour Attache David Des Dicang and some Filipino community leaders.
The one-day celebration kicked off in the morning with a Thanksgiving Worship Service at the National Evangelical Church Compound in Kuwait City with Pastor Mark Sosmena, the General Secretary of the Global Diaspora Network (GDN) as the guest speaker.
“Be the salt and light and make a positive impact to our host country Kuwait, which has generously opened its doors providing employment opportunities to Filipinos,” stated Sosmena. One of the highlights of the morning service was the installation and dedication of new Associate Pastors and new members of the Council of Servant Leaders by Rev Jun Nones, the Senior Pastor and Overseer of FLCC Churches. Rev Nones urged the new leaders to be a man of serv- ice to others.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon, FLCC members trooped to the Riggae Bilingual School Auditorium for the evangelistic service with Pastor Sosmena. This was followed by a Musical Concert featuring the FLCC talents from the various satellite churches as well as the FLCC Heirs of the Kingdom Children’s Church, the Tambourine and Dance Ministry and the FLCC Apocalypse Band that danced and played inspirational musical hits respectively. Crooner Liza Pajo also rendered a song with her mellifluous voice. Some lucky winners in the raffle draw brought home with them various electronic prizes such stereo, LED TV set, freezer and may more.
